Greetings McMaster Wrestling Alumni and Supporters

I hope this email finds all of you well. This is the launch of our new McMaster Wrestling Alumni group, Marauders Off The Mat. The purpose of this group is to help unify our alumni, while keeping them involved and informed.

The need for our own form of communication was made painfully evident this year. The most outrageous being the fact that we had our first CIS (CIAU) National Championship team, the 1984 team, inducted into the McMaster Athletics Hall of Fame, but members of the CIS team were not invited/overlooked and others who were apart of the larger team were not invited/overlooked. Also, one of our most decorated female wrestlers, Pam Wilson, was also inducted into the Hall of Fame and some of her teammates where not informed.

There is nothing we can do about the Hall of Fame inductions now. However, what we can do is take this opportunity to try to get information out to all of our Alumni about important events, news, and results so that we can all stay connected to the school and sport that has impacted who we are today. While it will take time to make a complete list, we will be working to make sure that all of our alumni are informed about everything that is happening with McMaster/Hamilton Wrestling. If you have received this email in multiple email account, then please unsubscribe your unused email account.While we will be working with McMaster Alumni Advancement we are not officially associated with McMaster Alumni Advancement, so the only emails you will get from Marauders Off The Mat are McMaster/Hamilton Wrestling e-mails.

When: November 7th, 2015; 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 4 pm*

*There is a split start for the tournament with some weight classes competing in the morning and the others in the afternoon. For the tournament flyer click here

After the tournament we will head over to the new Phoenix for refreshments and socializing.
